Primark Tea Lights

Morningggg

Y’all know I’m obsessed with Tea Lights right?

I can’t stop myself from buying them, although, it has been a while (are you proud?).

However, I’m running low on my pineapple and ginger tea lights so, unlike a normal person who waits to actually run out before purchasing more, I have purchased more.

I really like the scent of these because the pineapple isn’t a terribly fake smell and the ginger isn’t over powering.

I wouldn’t say that they lasted terribly long but for £1.30 you get 30 so I’m not complaining.

They’re a light yellow too and so tie in nicely with my tea light holders. Is that sad that I’m giving that as a reason to buy them?

Anyway, has anyone purchased any tea lights recently? What’s your preferred scent?!

Going For A Cheeky Afternoon Tea

 Good Afternooooon,

How are we all on this fabulous Friday?

I wanted to do a little post today about what I spent Tuesday afternoon doing!

So I spent the day with Iain’s Mum and we decided to visit this lovely little tearoom called Dingle Farm which is near to where she lives.

I’ve been a few times and it’s just next to a farm (hence Dingle farm, I know!). It has a little shop opposite the tearoom and you can buy products which are organic and just a little bit more unique. As you enter the tearoom, you pass through a room dedicated to handmade items and books. It’s really lovely and it’s nice that the majority of the items are homemade.

Upstairs they have a beauty room and often have an artist on site who produces pet portraits!

After passing through the little shop, you have the choice of three rooms to enjoy your treats in. We chose to go upstairs because there’s a nice little view from the upstairs window- it overlooks a pond and a forest!

Sadly, we were too late to get the table which we really wanted so we settled for one still close to the window.

Once settled, we decided to be naughty and have a hot drink and a slice of homemade cake each which would only cost us £4.

The cakes are beautifully written on a chalkboard for all to see and within each room, little decorations hang which are available to purchase. Their crockery is all mismatched too and it gives it a lovely, homely feeling!

Carefully choosing off the board, I opted for a hot chocolate this time. It came with two marshmallows and this gorgeous, little chocolate design on top! They also brought me a little jug of warm milk too so I could top up!

Now cake wise…I simply had to have their Toffee Apple blondie. It was devine. It was so yummy. I had to actually try and slow myself down so I wouldn’t eat it within thirty seconds.

It was nice and gooey and it had a bit of a brownie texture but it was stickier. The white chocolate on top was just enough too.

I wasn’t alone in enjoying my cake either as Gill had ordered her favourite- Chocolate Guiness cake!

I actually thought the top was frosting or butter cream but it is indeed cream. Unfortunately, she couldn’t eat all of it and kindly saved the rest for Iain. She still enjoyed it with a pot of tea, though!

It is such a lovely place to go to and I feel that it’s a little gem really! If you’re ever in the area I would recommend going or perhaps even taking a road trip to it!

Can anyone else recommend any lovely tearooms?

Topshop Jewellery Haul!

Hiiiiiiiii

I went to Topshop *hangs head in shame*

I couldn’t help it. I do not regret it though and here’s why- I got five lots of jewellery for £7. I know!

I’m not quite sure why they had such a good offer on and this was last Friday, so I’m not sure if it is still on. There were no signs up though and so I only discovered this offer when the cashier told me. Naturally, I went to town.

I purchased four pairs of earrings and a selection of rings. The rings are a little big- there were no medium selections and I liked them too much so I just push my fingers together when I go to pick something up. Yep, I will do strange things to wear nice jewellery.

I absolutely adore Topshop jewellery, I feel like their pieces never really go out of fashion. I will say, though, that one of the earrings has already broken which is a bit of a nuisance (the gold and pearl ones) but then again, they were practically free.

I think a lot of the pieces I’ll wear as part of a day look but will save these earrings below for a evening look as they look a little fancy. I feel that the rest of the items are quite grungy and will go nicely with the red lip and maybe some DMs.

Anyway, that was what I got! Did anyone else cash in on this deal?? Thoughts on Topshop jewellery?

How To Store Your Lushy Lush Things!

Good Morninggggg!

How are you today?

Today I wanted to talk about storing all those beauty products such as makeup, hair sprays or, you know, Lush stuff.

My goodness do I have a lot of Lush stuff!

To be fair, I was given an awful lot for my birthday and also a lot from friends after my surgery. I am not complaining though!

But as fabulous as this is to be showered witb Lush items, where does one store it all?

Before now, I’d never really had a designated area or box or drawer but instead there were stacked high in the bathroom. I lived my life on the edge everyday.

However, it all changed when Iain bought me a massive, sparkly box filled with Lush stuff! Now, he won’t tell me where he got it from but I think it’s from Paperchase 😀

A few weeks later, I was presented with another sparkly box from friends! It was pink with a black bow and filled high with my favourite Lush products, chocolate coins, a Lush scarf and biscuits. The biscuits were magical. Now, these boxes fit perfectly in our bedroom and they just add a lovely sense of girliness. I’d love to make them more of a feature in the room but they don’t quite go with the furniture so I need to play around with them.

Now that all my Lush stuff was safely tucked away in the bedroom, I needed to sort out the bathroom as I was sure one of the products would drop into the toilet at any point.

Iain had bought some baskets from Wilko’s and we decided that it would make the bathroom look tidier and a bit brighter. With two each, I allocated one of my baskets for my Lush things.

They’re great, deep baskets (didn’t think I’d be writing this at 25) and they have a waterproof lining which is very helpful for any Lush spillages!

I think it’s nice to have your favourite beauty products stored prettily- it just makes you feel that extra special when you come to use them 🙂
Do you store your Lush/beauty products? If so, how?

Next Haul- Tealight Holders!

Hello!

How’s it going?

I have a confession. I am obsessed with candles. It started harmlessly when I moved into my flat about two years ago. I didn’t have them on a lot, they were reserved for special meals or for when guests came round. This carried on for some time and even in October of last year, I rarely had them on.

But then Christmas happened. I became obsessed. I loved the atmosphere they created, the smells they produced…the glass jars, the accessories you could purchase with them…I couldn’t resist.

After already having a range of Yankee candles that had sweet, rich scents, I turned to tea lights. This way I could offer a warm glow in pretty little glass jars, I could colour match, I could play Interior Designer.

I purchased a lot of tea lights and my mother fuelled my obsession- cranberry scented, apple and cinnamon, the list goes on. It was time therefore, to give these little lights a home.

Last Monday, I innocently strolled into Next, not intentionally looking for tea light holders but there I found myself, staring at them all. I searched high and low and quickly snatched up three beautiful ones.

I opted for hues of blues and oranges as this went nicely with our ornaments and overall feel to our little flat. I didn’t want anything that said Love on or Shine Bright as this isn’t really my thing and I much prefer patterns- I also have to consider the boyfriend!

So, there I stood at the till point with three glass tea light holders. I paid under £8 for the three and could not be happier. They feel like they are very good quality and the burnt orange holder is made from recycled glass.

I was so surprised by the price as I feel Next is notorious for being pricey but I’m finding their home ware to be reasonable and modern. I think it’s a great place for just adding little touches to your home and you know the quality will be excellent.

At the minute, they’re moving about all over my flat but I think I’ll place them on our dining table although they look lovely on one of our chests of drawers in the bedroom…

Have you also got a candle obsession??
